Our agrotouristic resort offers many seasonal activities such as sheep shearing, milking sheep, collecting olives and making olive oil, listening and dancing to live Cretan music, watching local cheese bring made and wine tasting. The fresh, clean mountain air and rushing mountain streams make this area an ideal spot for walking, hiking and biking. These surroundings offer many guided walks, ranging from very easy to difficult. The paths traverse beautiful gorges, forests and caves in an area of abundant vegetation with a variety of colors. In the spring, you can see wild Cretan orchids and herbs such as oregano, thyme, bay leaves and wild tea etc. Enjoy this relaxing and healthy Mediterranean island experience.

On our resort you will have the chance to create and run some very interesting and unique programs that will inspire your creativity and enhance your knowledge. In the past we have cooperated with some groups (from Holland, England, United States, Finland) who fulfilled their programs of Fine Arts, Cretan Dancing, Cretan Cuizine, Gymnastics, Hiking and other ones in our resort.
We also have worked with Writers, Ecologists and English Teachers. Global Volunteers was one of our most recent groups that visited our resort and participated on some of the above programs. These programs should consist of ten to twenty people, and they will run for approximately two weeks during the spring or fall season.

All the following activities of our agrotouristic resort is followed by our excellent Cretan hospitality, affection and responsibility that describes our work and our people.
1.After the first rain of the coming up winter, it is time for some snail collection from the surrounding hills and mountains.
2.Starting in November and ending in April, olive oil production is one of the main agricultural activities of Crete.
3.Walking on the countryside comes with some vegetable collection. You will have this opportunity to see, feel and touch the Cretan nature throughout the year except summer time.
4.Mushroom, asparagus and koumara (arbute berries) collection from the nearby forests. Koumara is also popular as the tasteful fruit of the Cretan nature.
5.Our visitors will also have the chance to participate on some agricultural activities such as potato planting (all year long) and various other winter plantations.
6.Gathering the eggs from the henhouse is another unforgettable experience that you shouldn?t miss.
7.Watching the pruning of vineyards (February to March) and other plantations.
8.Regular visits and tours to Byzantine monuments and other important places.
9.Watching the very fascinating production of Cretan milk products such as cheese and yogurt.
10.Looking at the knitting and embroidering of traditional Cretan designs.
11.Feeding the sheep is quite amazing especially for the young ones.
12.You?ll be able to listen to Cretan music and also learn the various Cretan dances.
13.Watching the production of many Cretan delights such as cakes and specialties (mousaka, pasticcio, cheesepies, galaktompoureko etc). The Cretan cuisine is a guaranteed excitement.
14.Our neighboring villages will give a first hand experience on the major Cretan goods. There will be visits to the Cheese dairy, Olive mill and Rakidio (raki production factory).
15.Attending the Holy Mass of the Prophet Ilias Monastery of Roustika, if asked.
16.Hiking through the fabulous nature of our surrounding forests and valleys.
